Why Choose a Benefit Auction Specialist (BAS)

Updated: Aug 7, 2022

Create a memorable event with outstanding results.

Benefits and fundraisers are uniquely different in the auction world. They require a niche set of skills and know how. That is why the National Association of Auctioneers (NAA) started the Benefit Auction Specialist (BAS) designation.

Less than 1% of all auctioneers have the BAS designation–that’s only 210* auctioneers in the world! *As of May, 2022

Your auction is unique, and no two fundraising goals are the same. I work closely with my clients to create the right event for them–one that raises spirits and funds.

Benefits, Fundraisers, and Auctions

BAS signifies that an auctioneer has trained with leaders in the field of fundraising auctions, and has made a commitment to the industry. BAS designees learn tips and techniques from the best of the best charity auctioneers, ones who have also called benefit auctions as their full-time career.

Your fundraiser only happens once. Even if you have several a year, each event has a unique audience, needs, and goals. Your BAS is the one person that knows how to come into your world and seamlessly plan the perfect event, effortlessly raising the most money for your cause.

You wouldn't hire an electrician to do a plumbing job. That is why, when looking for someone to help you plan, execute, and host your event, the BAS designation is crucial. Advanced and specialized marketing, communications, business development, and event management set BAS apart from the pack. Professional fundraisers are also a well-networked group, constantly sharing knowledge, learning new tips and techniques, and elevating each other to ensure success for all fundraising efforts

BAS in Texas and Georgia

I am lucky enough to be one of those 210 trained and licensed Benefit Auction Specialists. I went into this profession because of a desire to do good for as many people as possible. That's why I am proud to offer my services as a BAS in both Texas and Georgia.

As a Benefit Auction Specialist, my job is to:

  • Entertain your audience. I ensure every person at your event is engaged and feels like a part of something bigger.

  • Help your guests connect with your cause, motivating them to give more.

  • Learn the ins and outs of your organization, mission, and goals.

  • Sell! All these skills elevate my innate ability to excite your donors and get them bidding and supporting you for years to come.
